Founded on March 9, 2008, by the visionary Late Sri C M Nagaraj, Former Mayor of BBMP, and now thriving under the dynamic stewardship of Smt. Chitrakala Nagaraj alongside the innovative leadership of Mr. C N Shashikiran and Mrs. Mamatha Shashikiran, the academy is a beacon of quality education. Equipped with cutting-edge laboratories for sciences and mathematics, digital classrooms for immersive learning, and a sprawling computer lab designed to impart advanced technological skills, EWA champions an integrated curriculum
Its emphasis on creativity and physical education is evident in its swanky dance room, art studio, music training in both Eastern and Western traditions, and rooftop basketball court, alongside other sports facilities. A safe, vibrant play area nurtures the youngest learners, instilling values of sharing and collaboration. - Our Founder

Late Shri. C M Nagaraj, Founder Chairman of East West Institutions & Former Mayor of BBMP deserves the due respect of immortals for he lives and reigns in the hearts of many through his service and passion by education. He founded East West Institutions in 1968 with an extreme vision to propose quality based technical education to those who were depressed due to poverty, social status and many other causes.

He had commissioned to bring equal opportunity for students who come from rural background. Though he could intensely forecast the less advantaged aspects of establishing an institution in rural setting, he vowed to start one in a peaceful place far away from the hustle and bustle of city. And today, the institution has become a treasure house of knowledge to thousands of enthusiastic student community across the globe.

In 1968, he established EWGI with a profound vision to provide quality technical education to those marginalized by poverty, social status, and other challenges. With a steadfast commitment to equal opportunities, he championed the cause of students from rural backgrounds. Despite foreseeing the inherent challenges of establishing an institution in a remote setting, he resolutely chose a tranquil location, far removed from the chaos of urban life, to create a haven for learning. Today, this institution stands as a beacon of knowledge, nurturing thousands of eager students from around the world.
This remarkable legacy continues under the stewardship of Shri C. N. Shashi Kiran, the current Chairman of EWGI, who carries forward his father’s visionary ideals with the same dedication and foresight.
